Local residents are encouraged to have their say about important decision affecting Brisbane, Councillor (Dutton Park) Helen Abrahams said.

“Dutton Park is currently being targeted in city-wide recruitment for Council’s ‘Your City, You Say’ (YCYS) community reference panel,” she said.

“Of course, I encourage all residents of all ages and backgrounds to join up and have their say about our city’s future.

“Membership is free and you can be involved as little or as much as you like.

“Panellists will receive quarterly newsletters and updates.  They will also be notified of upcoming consultation opportunities such as:

 Community forums and workshops
 Member nights
 Pilot projects
 Discussion groups, and
 Surveys.

“There are currently more than 13,000 YCYS members from across Brisbane – so I would encourage residents to have their say on issues that are important to them.”

Residents interested in joining up will find the Your City, Your Say online registration form by searching ‘YCYS’ at www.brisbane.qld.gov.au.

Alternatively, residents can contact the Dutton Park Ward Office on 3403 8605 if they would like a hard copy of the registration form.
