About Gabba Ward

The Gabba Ward is an inner city ward on Brisbane’s south side.

The suburbs of Dutton Park, East Brisbane, Highgate Hill, Kangaroo Point, South Brisbane, West End, Woolloongabba, and part of Coorparoo north of Old Cleveland Road, Bennetts Road in Camp Hill, and the 8 streets in Greenslopes north of Old Cleveland Road.

The Gabba Ward is renowned for its residents from many cultures, itself dynamic tolerant culture, riverside cultural facilities including GOMA, the Queensland Museum, QPAC and many linear riverside parks.

It is also a Ward of contrast with the high rise appartments of Kangaroo Point, the very intact ‘tin and timber’ of East Brisbane and the major Council infrastructure projects in Woolloongabba including the North South Bypass Tunnel and the Eastern Busway.
